Music in the Parks @ Busch Gardens: Friday, June 3!

Band, Orchestra, and Chorus students get ready to rock at the Music in the Parks competition @ Busch Gardens, Friday, June 3!

Arrive wearing black & white concert dress!  Bring summer clothes to wear in the park, and a change of dry clothing for the ride home!  RCMS is not responsible for any electronic or personal items that are brought on the trip.

Tentative Music In the Parks Trip Itinerary
5:45am- Chaperones will meet and discuss emergency plans, students begin arriving
6:00am-Buses depart
9:00am-12:00pm- Ensemble performances

Chorus performance location:  First Baptist Church, 12716 Warwick blvd, Newport News, VA 23606

Band performance location:  Passage Middle School, 400 Atkinson Way, Newport News, VA 23608

Orchestra performance location:  Denbigh High School, 259 Denbigh blvd, Newport News, VA 23608

12:00pm- Buses depart from performance locations to Busch Gardens
12:30pm- Arrive at Busch Gardens
1:00-3:00pm- Students and chaperones can eat their buffet lunch anytime within this timeframe
8:15pm- Meet back at buses
8:45pm- Depart for RCMS
11:45pm-Arrive at RCMS

It's due, Thursday, Aug. 26 for instrumental students and Friday, September 4th for choral students.

Music Department FUNDRAISER

Our annual Music Department fundraiser will begin Monday, January 12, 2009.  All students will participate and earn prizes! Concert Band and Orchestra students will be fundraising for their music competition at King's Dominion.
