RCMS raises over $8,000!

RCMS Music Students and Parents raised over $8,000 at their Silent Auction and Benefit Concert at Blackrock Center for the Arts on Friday, June 12. Check out our photo album!

All proceeds will benefit our new charity, Roberto Clemente Community Services, which exists to support our highly mobile (homeless) students at RCMS and feeder elementary schools. The goal of RCCS is to help lower the achievement gap and raise school attendance by giving students a reason to come to school. RCCS will provide the enrichments that typically get cut first from a family's budget: instrument rentals, art supplies, reading books, sporting equipment.

Our annual Music Department fundraiser will begin Monday, January 12, 2009. All students will participate and earn prizes! Concert Band and Orchestra students will be fundraising for their music competition at King's Dominion.
